Conrad Colman Ex OG Student returns
Conrad Colman was a distinction graded student on our Ocean Graduate programme in 2007. Having completed his training, Conrad took part in the GBR Yacht Racing Academy before embarking on his latest adventure.
...At 2am this morning he sailed his recently purchased racing cat into Cowes Yacht Haven, having sailed it from Italy. Conrad sailed the cat single-handed from Gibraltar. He has many a tale to tell about his rather sharp learning curve and brutal introduction to single-handed sailing.
Not wanting to miss the opportunity to catch up with a past graduate, We jumped in a van with a camera and interviewed him on the dock. - we will post the film up here shortly
Conrad's aim is to complete in a mini-transat and then go on to race in the Jacques Vabre Transat. In the meantime he is living in Cowes, racing with the GBR Yacht Race Academy and working in the Solent as a Cruising Instructor.

The Mary Rose School at UKSA
The Mary Rose School in Portsmouth, visited us this month – the school caters for children who have a wide range of severe and complex learning needs, including many who also have physical disabilities. Both children and staff had an incredibly rewarding and inspirational week away from the classroom. Please select the link below to view footage of the week – we feel that it will give you a good insight into just how valuable these residential weeks are. We continue to seek further funding to help more schools like The Mary Rose.

UKSA Launches New Blog
Welcome to the UKSA News Blog! Its taken a while to put this together, but finally, UKSA has its own blog. We will be using this blog to update the wider UKSA community on anything we feel is newsworthy or of interest. Blogs offer a great way to update you all without sending out lots of email, so we see this as a great step forward.
If you would like to subscribe - please just click on the Subscribe link in the right hand menu.
I would like to thank Andy Mayes, our technical web guru for making all this possible and designing the front end. Thanks Andy, you have done a great job.
News will be organized into different categories of interest using the labels feature.
Our aim is to get news and updates up here as they happen. This is a team collaboration, so you won't just have one person making all the posts.
Please take part, and please do comment.
